What is smart coffee?

You may have seen people post on social media about smart coffee. That is the first way I learned about this amazing stuff! I noticed a friend posted on Facebook that she had lost a couple of pounds by using this special blend of coffee instead of her regular coffee. See my full review of Elevate Smart coffee here.

A Functional Beverage

According to the company, Elevacity, that is the brains behind smart coffee – or happy coffee – is a functional beverage.

Wait. What?

What’s a functional beverage?

According to Wikipedia, a functional beverage is a drink intended to convey a health benefit.

functional beverage is a drink typically intended to convey a health benefit. Some include ingredients like herbs, vitamins, minerals, nootropics, amino acids, or additional raw fruit or vegetables.

For example, a typical functional beverage is an energy drink or vitamin water. As a warning with typical functional beverages, you should consider the amount of sugar in those beverages.

Basically, loosely defined a functional beverage could be anything you drink intentionally to get the health benefits from. Since smart coffee contains nootropics, it is considered a functional beverage.

Wait a hot second – nootropics?

All About Nootropics

Nootropics definition: no·o·trop·ic /ˌnōəˈträpik/  a substance that enhances cognition and memory and facilitates learning

The coffee I use on a daily basis contains nootropics. You better believe that I researched this subject to make sure I knew what I was putting in my body.

The good news – nootropics are all about improving your brain function!

The term ‘nootropic’ is defined as a substance that helps improve your cognitive brain function. To be specific, the benefits of nootropics could be that your memory is improved, brain fog is reduced, your mood is improved, and your cravings are curbed. So, that could mean that you lose weight!

Smart coffee that contains nootropics is a functional beverage that is intentionally trying to improve your brain function.

Smart Coffee – Who Could Benefit?

Anyone that needs a little help with cognitive brain function. Here are my top picks:

  • Moms – because kids.
  • Anyone that walks into a room and has no idea why they are there.
  • Stay at home moms. Working moms.
  • College students
  • Did I mention Moms?

How do You Use Smart Coffee?

The smart coffee that I like is from Elevacity. They offer two options – sticks or a tub.

The sticks contain 24 servings. Each serving has 140 mg of caffeine. These sticks are very convenient to take with you and add to hot water throughout the day.

The other option is a tub which contains about 30 servings. I like this option because you can start with half a scoop and work your way up to a full scoop as your body adjusts to the nootropics.

How to Use Smart Coffee

This smart coffee is a dark Columbian roast with espresso. This is an instant coffee, so all you have to do to get the benefits is to add it to 6-8 ounces hot liquid. Then, you dress it up as your normal cup of coffee.

One great addition is a keto creamer – check it out here. This is perfect if you are working on ketosis on the keto diet.

The way I like to enjoy it is to add one serving to my protein shake. You can read here about how I’m not much of a coffee drinker.

Oddly enough, I love the smell of coffee. Weird, right?

So, to get the full benefits of nootropics, I simply add a scoop of Elevate to my protein shake. Occasionally, I will attempt to make a vanilla latte with my smart coffee. But, usually, I go with the protein shake. Here’s the recipe I use daily.

Elevate Your Happiness Hormones

If you like the idea of increasing your happiness hormones – you know – Dopamine, Oxytocin, Seratonin, and Endorphins – then I’ve got another option for you. Smart coffee is amazing on its own, but add Xanthomax and you get an extra dose of nootropics.

When you take Xanthomax, it focuses specifically on your happiness hormones. D.O.S.E. for short.

Side Effects

I recently had a group of 20 people test our smart coffee for five days. Initially, I told them to start with half a serving on the first day and then use a full serving on the second day. The results were overwhelmingly positive for the smart coffee.

Almost every person that tested the smart coffee lost at least 2 pounds in the 5-day time span. Those are crazy results! Imagine if you drink smart coffee for longer than 5 days!

80% of the testers noticed a significant increase in mental clarity. One out of 20 testers noticed a slight headache while drinking smart coffee. Most people enjoyed the taste of the coffee – especially when they dressed it up as they typically would their normal cup of coffee.

I’ve seen reviews online where people say that the nootropics in smart coffee stop working overtime. My workaround for this complaint is to just use smart coffee during the week – which is when I typically need the most brain function anyways. By taking a day or two break, I have never noticed that the coffee stops working. I’ve been using smart coffee for at least 6 months and I still love it.

You can purchase 6 DOSE samples here.

What about a Caffeine-Free Version?

what is smart coffeeElevacity has you covered! Choclevate has all the benefits of Smart Coffee with no added caffeine. Imagine drinking hot chocolate that could help your cognitive brain function – that’s what you get with chocolevate.

Elevate Smart Coffee Review | Thumbs UP!

Have you heard of smart coffee?  You may think your daily cup of coffee is smart. I want to talk to you about Elevate Smart Coffee.

One day I was scrolling through Facebook and a friend of mine posted, “Wow! I just lost 2 pounds in 2 days just from drinking coffee.”

At the time in my life, I was really struggling with post-baby weight…even though my “baby” is three years old!

So, her post really piqued my interest!

I asked for more information and she told me all about Elevate Smart Coffee.

I decided to jump in with both feet.

Here is my Elevate Smart Coffee Review.

There are two options with Elevate Smart Coffee. You can get it in either a tub of a package of sticks.

I like the tub because when you first start out, you may want to start with half a scoop. Since it’s an instant coffee, you simply add hot or cold water. Then dress it up as you normally would with your regular coffee.

Personally, I like to add it to my protein shake instead of drinking it like coffee.

This recipe keeps me full until lunchtime!

Elevate Smart Coffee Review – How to Use

My friend that posted on Facebook about this smart coffee says that she adds it to her normal cup of coffee. I tried it that way and DID NOT like it at first.

I have a problem with coffee, though. I don’t like too much caffeine and I don’t like the acidic aftertaste that you can typically get with coffee.

So, I kept trying different ways to enjoy the Elevate Smart Coffee until I figured it out for myself. For me, I enjoy smart coffee in my smoothie.

Elevate Smart Coffee Review – What Makes it ‘Smart Coffee’

This coffee contains nootropics. According to smartdrugsmarts.com:

Nootropics is an umbrella term for a class of chemicals — some naturally-occurring, some manmade — that give cognitive benefits to the human brain.

To get really technical, in order to be a nootropic, a substance must meet five criteria set by Dr. Corneliu E. Giurgea, the man who coined the term “nootropic.” The substance must…

  • Enhance memory and ability to learn.
  • Help the brain function under disruptive conditions, such as hypoxia (low oxygen) and electroconvulsive shock.
  • Protect the brain from chemical and physical assaults, such as anti-cholinergic drugs and barbiturates.
  • Increase the efficacy of neuronal firing control mechanisms in cortical and sub-cortical regions of the brain.
  • Possess few or no side effects and be virtually non-toxic.

This is a pretty hefty list of requirements for any chemical. In fact, anything that meets this full definition, could equally well be called a “miracle drug,” not just a nootropic.

However, normally when you hear the term nootropic kicked around, people really mean a “cognitive enhancer” — something that does benefit thinking in some way (improved memory, faster speed-of-processing, increased concentration, or a combination of these, etc.), but might not meet the more rigorous definition above. “Smart drugs” is another largely-interchangeable term.

Basically,  nootropics help with two main things:

  • Brain health
    • Cognitive function
    • Focus
    • Mental Clarity
  • Weight Management
    • Curb cravings
    • Eliminate sugar cravings
    • Stay fuller long

Elevate Smart Coffee Review – Happy Coffee?!

You may hear smart coffee referred to as happy coffee. That’s because the nootropics in the smart coffee help elevate the 4 happiness hormones – dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins.

FINALLY! A Coffee Subscription Box

FINALLY! A Coffee Subscription Box

I have to admit I don’t [really] do subscription boxes. Except for this one amazing coffee subscription box. If you haven’t heard of this, please read now!

coffee subscription box Subscription boxes – love them or hate them?

Let me tell you about a cool story from my kid’s elementary class…

Last week I had lunch with my 2nd grader at her school. I sat beside a very interesting young man.

I’ve never met anyone quite as passionate about fishing as this guy. He told me all about the different types of bait, why you use a bobber (he was way past that level of fishing), and where to find the best fish.

2nd grade! I was so impressed!

I haven’t been fishing in probably 10+ years and I would definitely still use a bobber and a slimy worm for bait.

His mom mentioned that he has a monthly subscription box where he gets a box of lures in the mail.

What!?!

That is such an awesome idea! What a perfect gift idea for someone so passionate about fishing.

I haven’t really jumped on the subscription box trend. I take advantage of the ones that I’ll be buying anyways and that will help me save money.

So…razors, laundry detergent (does Amazon Subscribe and Save count?), and my coffee. Have you heard of this coffee subscription box?

Coffee Subscription Box

For me to spend my hard-earned money on a monthly subscription, there are two requirements:

  1. I’m going to be buying it anyways
  2. It will save money

An additional benefit of a monthly subscription being mailed to you automatically is absolutely for the convenience. If this helps save my sanity just a little and takes one item off my never-ending to-do list, then I’m all for it!

That where the coffee subscription box comes in. So, there’s a certain coffee that I love. It’s a must-have for me every day. Which is funny, because I don’t drink coffee anymore.

What?!

coffee subscription box

OK, it’s a smart coffee. I put a scoop (or two) in my protein smoothie in the mornings. This coffee helps clear my brain fog – have you downloaded the guide “5 steps to clear brain fog” yet?

This coffee helps me maintain a consistent mood and helps with weight management.

Check out this coffee subscription box. You’ll save money and it’s a product you will LOVE!

Nootropic – a Must Have for Mental Clarity

According to Wikipedia, Nootropics (English pronunciation: /noʊ.əˈtrɒpɪks/ noh-ə-TROP-iks), also known as smart drugs and cognitive enhancers, are drugs, supplements, and other substances that improve cognitive function, particularly executive functions, memory, creativity, or motivation, in healthy individuals.

After researching exactly what the term “Nootropics” means, I was instantly intrigued. As a full-time working mom with two kids, a husband, and a crazy busy lifestyle, I was struggling. Memory issues, stress, weight gain…all those fun things. So, I thought I would give it a try.

It turns out one scoop has about 100 mg of caffeine. The average cup of coffee has about 80 mg of caffeine.

Since using this smart coffee subscription box, my mood level is constant, I’ve lost weight, and my memory has noticeable improved!

I love this product so much that I started to represent it. Check out my link here and just click ‘autoship’ so you’ll have a fabulous coffee subscription box delivered to your door every month!

It comes in a tub or sticks. I like to use the smart coffee tub so I can adjust how much I consume based on my daily needs.

Here’s my DELICIOUS Coffee Stomach Ache Cure!

Here’s my DELICIOUS Coffee Stomach Ache Cure!

If you need a coffee stomach ache cure, start here. I love coffee, but not the feeling it leaves behind. Here’s what I drink now that I love more than coffee.

Coffee Stomach Ache CureThat’s right – I stopped drinking coffee every day. I know you are thinking BUT WHY?! Something weird happened to me after having my second baby – my tastes changed.

I’m so used to having at least one cup of coffee with sugar and creamer, it was strange to me when that cup of coffee tasted bitter and left me feeling sick to my stomach. You know the ‘sour stomach’ feeling, right?

Why Did Coffee Turn Against Me?

I was determined not to let my beloved coffee go. So, I tried different roasts, different beans, etc. Nothing was working. Even if I enjoyed the taste of the occasional latte from Starbucks or McDonalds, I could only drink half of the smallest version. And the stomach issues still followed.

But, I was STILL drinking my regular coffee every day because I needed the caffeine boost in the morning. (Two kids, remember?)

Why Does Coffee Cause Stomach Issues?

First of all, if you drink coffee, you already know that coffee acts as a laxative. If you are searching for a coffee stomach ache cure, you’ll be interested to read this. According to Health Ambition:

Drinking coffee can stimulate peristalsis, the process in the digestive tract that makes us head for the bathroom. Some people use it deliberately as a laxative, but there’s a problem with this.

By stimulating peristalsis, coffee also appears to promote increased gastric emptying, whereby the stomach’s contents are quickly passed into the small intestines, often before the digesting food has been properly broken down.

In this partially digested state, it makes it much more difficult for nutrients to be absorbed from your food. It also increases the chances of irritation and inflammation within the gastrointestinal tract.

Once again, decaffeinated coffee has also been shown to have laxative and gastric emptying properties so it seems caffeine alone is not to blame.

Studies have shown that drinking coffee has bad effects on your gut. If you drink several cups of coffee a day, you might see an increase in stomach acidity, acid reflux, IBS and other gut disorders. I don’t even want to get into the fact drinking excessive coffee could increase the chances of food rotting in the gut.

Coffee Stomach Ache Cure

Coffee can be beneficial for many people. But for me, the acidity in my K-cups was causing me to have ongoing gut issues. There are also many chemicals in coffee that could cause stomach acid secretion in stomach cells.

A friend introduced me to something called smart coffee. This coffee from Elevate claims to be “happy coffee” that will help with weight management, mental clarity, memory, and creativity. The friend that introduced me was also losing weight by just adding this stuff to her coffee.

I was hesitant because of my issues with coffee, and it turns out what works for her didn’t exactly work for me. Of course, I immediately went online to find reviews of Elevate Coffee and I saw several positive reviews from people that had reduced their coffee intake by using this smart coffee.

How much coffee are you drinking? Are you in search of a coffee stomach ache cure?

What is Elevate Coffee?

According to the company, “Elevate is a great tasting micro-ground, functional coffee that contains a proprietary blend of Nootropic ingredients designed to assist with mental clarity, memory, and energy. The Nootropics in Elevate are all-natural amino acids typically found in protein-rich foods but not always easy to get from diet alone.”

Nootropic?

So many advantages in addition to being my coffee stomach ache cure.

I add to my Protein Smoothie

When I received the product, I added a scoop to my coffee as my friend suggested. I DID NOT immediately love it. The directions on the package state:

How to Use: This “Functional Beverage” can be mixed in almost anything; by itself or added to your existing hot coffee. Mix 1 serving (scoop or stick) in 4-8oz of hot or cold water, stir well and enjoy. You may also use Elevate as a boost by adding 1 serving to your favorite coffee, iced tea, or protein shake.

It turns out one scoop has about 100 mg of caffeine. The average cup of coffee has about 80 mg of caffeine. Here’s what I tried and what I still do on a daily basis: I add half a scoop to my protein smoothie. I drink this every morning and I no longer NEED my cup of coffee. Half a scoop of Elevate Smart Coffee has enough caffeine to meet my needs.

>>Here’s the #1 Smoothie Recipe for Weight Loss<<

It’s been a little over a month since I started using smart coffee and the benefits for me have been very real. My mood level is constant – this has been an issue since having kids. My memory has noticeably improved. I’ve noticed a slight weight loss, but nothing significant, yet.

Elevate is very clear that their product needs a month or so for you to begin seeing results. So, get started today!

Best of all, I do NOT miss my daily cup of bitterness in my old coffee cup. By simply adding a little Elevate coffee into my smoothie, I get enough caffeine for the day. And I don’t miss the “stomach secretions” and gut issues I had before.

Interested in trying it?

I don’t blame you! Go here to purchase: https://elevacity.com/crystalnichols. I like the tub so you can use the scoop to add as much or little as you like. You can save money by using the auto-ship option.
