I had my first baby Claudia when I was 33 and at that point in my life, I was very active. I was working full time and still woke up every morning at 5 am to take a quick walk around the neighborhood.
I had the help of an over the counter supplement and the weight just seem to fall off. I had NO problems losing weight after my first baby.
When I had my second baby Willson I was 37 and I STRUGGLED to lose my mommy belly. He was a struggle himself as second children tend to me. I didn’t have as much time for myself that you really need to focus on losing weight and working out.
Having two children, working a full-time job, I struggled so much mentally and physically. I was physically exhausted and I just couldn’t lose the weight no matter what I did. The first thing that I tried after that was those crazy supplements I used before.
This time, they only gave me a massive migraine and actually added a few extra pounds.
The next thing I did to try to lose my mommy belly was a six-week boot camp at my local gym. It was a Cross Fit type workout. I was there 3 days a week at 5 am. I was very committed even though I was so, so tired. It felt good exercising and accomplishing something, but I didn’t see any results.
I did everything that the trainers told me and I ended up hurting myself. I was so determined to lose weight and ready to be fit and lose weight that I just tried too hard.
I immediately stopped that.
How I lost my Mommy Belly
It was probably six months later when a friend of mine told me that she was working with a company called Arbonne. I was like, “Oh, I’ve heard of Arbonne. I’ll order some skincare from you!”
But, the more I learned about the company, the more I learned that Arbonne teaches how to be healthy from the inside out. It’s about more than weight loss or skin care. It’s about feeling good and cleaning out your digestive tract.
It’s funny now to think about my time at the gym, the owner told me that they have a recommended meal plan but no one really follows it….
Since then I’ve learned that weight loss is 75% what you’re eating and 25% working out.
Your diet is a huge piece of the puzzle!
Back to my friend that told me about Arbonne. She told me that they do something called a 30-day healthy living challenge.
I decided to do it. But, I was very nervous about my commitment level because you have to eliminate several things from your diet – sugar, gluten, dairy, processed foods, etc.
I jumped into the 30-day healthy living challenge as one more attempt to lose my mommy belly. I thought I would last maybe a week.
But, I didn’t. I lasted the entire month and I lost 8 pounds, which was huge for me. I’ve kept it off and still lost some since then.
The 30-day Healthy Living Challenge is not a diet. It’s a jumpstart that helps teach you to eat the right foods, supplements, and nutritional products.
There are some really simple things you can do help you in your weight loss journey to lose your mommy belly.
Consider having a protein shake for breakfast. It may seem too simple but it helps give you the nutrients your body needs. Plus, helps you stay fuller longer.
Replace diet sodas with fizz sticks. Fizz sticks are fizzy mixtures you put in bottled water that give you caffeine, vitamins, and more. This is an awesome way to get more energy, healthy energy, and even more nutrients that don’t spike your blood sugar.
I love this 30-day challenge so much that I started blogging about it and started sharing my experience on social media.

Healthy Living Jump Start
Some of the challenges were so simple, but such a huge impact. Like, taking sugar out of your diet. It may bother you for the first two or three days, but after that 3-day period, you’ll start feeling amazing.
The reason is that you are putting food into your body that it knows how to digest and your body appreciates that! You’re eating more veggies and fewer processed foods that it doesn’t know what to do with.
You’re cleaning the waste out of your system that might be stuck in your colon. It’s an elimination diet and your detoxing your colon.
You’re learning how to eat for your body and the great thing is that if you’re a mom you can teach this to your family. It’s not something you are going to do alone. So teach your kids to more veggies, show them how to be healthier, and how it could affect their entire lives.
This is not a temporary quick fix diet. So, if you’re looking for a way to improve your diet, improve your health, lose a few pounds but really take a life-changing journey to begin to be healthier for the rest of your life, consider the 30-day healthy living challenge. You’ll lose your mommy belly – not just the belly fat, but the bloating, and the waste from your colon.
